Arts & Culture Initiative
Boston Beyond's Arts & Culture Initiative seeks to coordinate, strengthen and expand the network of arts and culture out-of-school time programming. The initiative provides training, technical assistance and resources to those involved in bringing arts and culture to Boston youth through OST programs.
Infusing arts into neighborhoods
We are working in neighborhoods such as Hyde Park and Mattapan to explore how arts programming can contribute to neighborhood development model.
Supplies and demands for the arts
The creative community in Boston needs access to courses and materials they may otherwise not be able to afford. Boston Beyond has partnered with Extra for Creative Learning (E.x.C.L.) to form the Providers Arts Resource Center (PARC) to offer recycled materials and arts workshops.
Curriculum development
Our A&C initiative is developing experiential arts education curriculum for use in OST programs that includes curriculum, teaching models and an assessment tool.
Connecting resources
Communities are built on connections. Better connections provide better opportunities.We are mapping the network to have a clear picture of where new connections need to be made or existing ones need to be strengthened.
